Discovery Ep. 9 - A Month in Indonesia

Video poster

Episode 9 takes us through one of the wildest legs of the journey. A full month exploring the islands, oceans, and volcanoes of Indonesia.

It kicked off in Bali, where we dove straight into the action with white water rafting through jungle rapids and quad biking through rice fields. From there, we jumped across to Gili Trawangan, where the pace slowed and the sea opened up; swimming with turtles in crystal water felt like hitting pause on time.

Then came Nusa Penida, where we swam with manta rays, climbed cliffside viewpoints, and experienced some of the most surreal coastlines of the trip. But the real challenge came next. Crossing to East Java to climb Mount Ijen at midnight, witnessing the otherworldly blue flames and sunrise over a sulphur crater.

We wrapped things up in Malang and Surabaya, soaking in the culture, the chaos, and a new perspective on what travel can give you.

This episode is a blend of adrenaline, stillness, challenge, and reflection. The real essence of the Discovery project.
