At 19, Teondra was the youngest member of this cohort and one of the most refreshingly open-minded. She's been acting since she was a child, drifting toward other pursuits along the way but always finding her way back to it. With a background in musical theatre and a genuine love of music alongside acting, she's looking to experience acting in all its forms, stage, screen, TV, film, commercials, she wants to try it all before deciding where she belongs.
Her first headshot session set the tone for what was ahead, she was natural in front of the camera and brought great energy from day one. She embodied both firearms and swords at her character profile session and had a lot of fun doing it, and she teamed up with fellow cohort member Jess for joint showreel piece's, which turned out to be a great collaboration.
Going in, Teondra admits she was nervous, unsure if she had enough experience compared to everyone else, but from the very first meet-up, sitting down with the cohort to talk through career goals and get to know one another, she left with far more direction than she arrived with. Since then, she says the biggest thing she's gained isn't just her showreel material, it's confidence, in her craft and in daily life, from trying new things to speaking up with her own ideas.
In her own words: "Everyone at Sonder is just lovely, it's like having your own cheer squad. There's no way you'll leave without gaining or learning something important." She's been a brilliant addition to the Access cohort, and we're excited to see where that confidence takes her next.
